Won't it snap? Isn't silk floss weak?
Silk takes a little more technique than plastic, and that is the trade.
Real silk is not slippery Teflon, so if you snap it down hard or drag it across a rough filling it can fray.
Ease it through gently and it holds. The glide you give up is the plastic you are no longer dragging through your gums.
How long do two spools last?
Two 30m spools is roughly 4-6 months of daily flossing for one person.
Is it really plastic-free?
Yes. Mulberry silk coated in candelilla plant wax, with a light peppermint oil. No nylon, no Teflon, no PFAS, and it ships in paper, not plastic.
